Michelle Chambers

A Dedicated Advocate

I was born and raised in Fort Wayne, where I currently serve as a councilwoman. In addition to being a wife, I am also an educator and a daughter. Throughout the period that I've  served on the City Council, I was able to demonstrate that the judgments that the Council reached were improved as a result of the contributions that my talents and knowledge provided. While serving on the council, I've successfully worked in public service, held the position of Business Department Chair and Teacher at East Allen University, and took the new role of Executive Director of Young Scholars Academy.

During the course of nearly three decades, I was responsible for managing budgets totaling multiple millions of dollars, introducing cutting-edge human services programming to a number of different municipalities, and boosting the economic vitality of cities by developing residential and commercial redevelopment projects.

I have contributed to making Fort Wayne an even better place to live, work, play, and retire for everyone by bringing my "can-do" attitude, business acumen, entrepreneurial innovation, academic and practical job experience to City Council.
